Laura Lopez brings a wealth of expertise in Financial Planning and Analysis, Corporate Finance, and Treasury, with a proven track record across German multinationals, Crown corporations, municipalities, and the Agtech and cleantech sectors. At SWTCH, Laura played a pivotal role in securing $27.2M USD in Series B by actively participating in the due diligence stage (businesswire). Known for transforming finance into a strategic partner within organizations, Laura earned the CARE award at Beiersdorf for her exceptional contributions. At Valentis Capital, she oversees all back-office operations across portfolio companies, ensuring seamless financial and operational management.
Laura holds a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Universidad de los Andes, a Master’s in Management from Toulouse Business School, and an MBA from the UBC Sauder School of Business. Originally from Bogota, Colombia, Laura has called Vancouver home since 2019 and is fluent in Spanish, English, and French.

In his most recent role as the Country Manager for Crown Colombiana, he increased the company’s production capacity, introduced new product lines, and expanded the customer base. He led Crown through difficult times, including a pandemic, the loss of its most important customer, and the entrance of new competitors into the Colombian market.
